I am an action sport athlete. Needless to say I injure myself often in both training and competition. I was introduced to RITM SCENAR® therapy way back in 2004 and was amazed. Every time I fly back into Sydney I have a treatment with Chris and when time allows I stay for multiple sessions for both injury and general recovery.
I purchased my own personal RITM SCENAR® and energy blanket to use while I am travelling. RITM SCENAR® therapy benefits appear to be almost limitless for health and wellbeing. My mum, a registered nurse and natural therapist, continues to study RITM SCENAR® therapy with Chris. We believe Chris Mortensen to be a master where RITM SCENAR® is involved.

At the beginning of 2006 I was looking for relief for my chronic neck injury.
I was told about RITM SCENAR® therapy and thought it could help me in my pursuit of another world surfing title and a life without pain. I commenced treatment and continued throughout the year.
RITM SCENAR® therapy supported my nervous system, encouraged my body to heal, allowed me to maintain strength and fitness and treat my injuries.
RITM SCENAR® therapy with Chris Mortensen enabled me to compete at my optimal level and as a result I won my 7th World Surfing Title in 2006.

Before meeting Chris Mortensen; I was booked in to get an arthroscopy on my lateral meniscus in my left knee. I was told there was a tear all the way through it, pretty much from over use. I have played sports such as football, cricket, water polo and surfing and it wasn't until my last game of football that my knee stiffened up after the game.
Chris asked me to give the RITM SCENAR® treatment a chance, as it was known to heal the body very well, even in an application where a doctor would tell you that you need surgery. On my first visit Chris "awoke" my brain to the trauma of the injury, which was seemingly forgotten over those past few months. I nearly fainted at this point. It also proved that something was happening. Chris advised me that this was normal and things were changing so it was a good indication that the treatment would work. We persisted with the treatments for the next 4 months, which left me just enough time to compete at the Australian Inter schools Championships.
RITM SCENAR® Therapy has given me 95% the range of motion I had before I tore the cartilage. My body has managed to repair the meniscus to almost perfect. At my first treatment, Chris asked me what I wished to be able to do when my knee was healed. I said I would just like to run again and it not hurt. Chris has helped more than this. I gained the bronze medal individually in snow boarding at those Australian Championships and our team won the gold medal. I recently completed a whole season as a snowboard instructor and passed knee tests for strength and wear at Perisher Blue Ski Resort. Considering I found it hard to walk down stairs a little while ago; I owe much of my new mobile life to him.
I would recommend Chris - and I have done so. The awesome capabilities of RITM SCENAR® Treatments and Chris' healing abilities are worth recommending.
Thanks again mate!!

My sixteen-year-old daughter, Ebony has suffered for 18 months with debilitating pain from dysmenorrhea (painful period). Every month she misses two to three days of school, completely sedated on prescription analgesia. Doctors have sent her for a myriad of tests and many treatments have been tried, from contraceptive pill, hormone balancing creams and different types of alternative medicine.
In desperation we decided to try RITM SCENAR® therapy with Chris Mortensen, following a friends urgent promptings. This friend had testified to incredible pain relief after her first RITM SCENAR® treatment. She was suffering from metastatic breast cancer and was able to sleep relatively pain free for the first time in months following RITM SCENAR® Therapy and after lying in the Orgone Energy blanket.
Ebony has had three treatments with Chris and the positive results still amaze us. For the first time in 18 months she was able to attend school through her entire cycle. She has not taken prescription analgesia for three months. Ebony's life has been turned around and she is now able to focus on her Year 12 studies. She uses the RITM SCENAR® as soon as pain presents. She is able to control her pain and therefore is responsible for her own healing.
I have been in private practice as a physiotherapist and Acupuncturist for over 25 years. Witnessing such spectacular results with my daughter I decided to investigate RITM SCENAR® further for use in my practice and with family and friends. I have now purchased a RITM SCENAR® device and Orgone blanket. I have completed Level One training and have seen outstanding results in three months. Most musculo - skeletal conditions and sports injuries seen in my practice are simply and quickly treated. Pain relief is often immediate and is more rapid than using other modalities. Recovery time is also reduced dramatically.
I have also used RITM SCENAR® in more complex systemic conditions that I would have treated with Acupuncture. Gynaecological, digestive, respiratory, urinary and neurological conditions have all responded well. When used in conjunction with the Orgone blanket. RITM SCENAR® has remarkable results with patients suffering from stress related illnesses, depression, anxiety and trauma of any type. Patients have reported total pain relief whilst resting in the blanket. A warm. Peaceful; feeling is experienced followed by mental and physical rejuvenation.
My family enjoys many sports from high-level competition swimming and soccer to netball, touch football and surfing. The whole family for muscle aches and strains, skin conditions and for general balancing uses the RITM SCENAR® and blanket regularly and successfully. Pain medication and anti-inflammatory medications are now a purchase of the past.
RITM SCENAR® therapy has redefined my approach to treatment as a physiotherapist. RITM SCENAR® follows the principles of Eastern philosophy in that it focuses on health rather than disease. As it is a totally holistic approach to treatment RITM SCENAR® therapy should be used with great respect; it is challenging and exciting and its potential appears limitless. I look forward to undertaking further levels of training to better understand the full use of this remarkable therapy.
I will always be grateful to Chris Mortensen for his life changing treatment with Ebony and for his encouragement and support of my pursuit of RITM SCENAR® therapy.

My experience with SCENAR Therapy
I am a 57-year-old female.
In January 1994 I was involved in a car accident whilst at work which resulted in a whiplash injury to my neck. This was recognised by Work cover as having caused permanent damage to my neck. Scoliosis and Kyphosis had also developed in my spine at around about the age of 11, but only started to cause significant pain after the accident. Before the accident I was quite fit due to the fact I did labouring type work on my property and had ridden horses and swum all my life.
I had been attending a manipulative physiotherapist who specialised in treating neck injuries since the accident. However in 1997 I did not work for 3 months as my right arm ceased to function also due to the injury. Arthritic changes had also taken place in my neck.
Fortnightly physiotherapy combined with the gym attendance 2 - 3 times a week gave relief in the short term. My doctor advised me that I would suffer worse pain as I grew older and physio and gym and medication was the only remedy he could offer. I had been prescribed pain and anti-inflammatory medication to help control the constant pain in my neck and back. My fitness had suffered, I had gained weight, I could no longer exercise the way I used to and I was feeling depressed at the thought that nothing could be done.
I have been examined by at least 10 orthopaedic specialists since 1994 in regards to the whiplash, who, when questioned about the scoliosis advised no remedy was available.
From the first RITM SCENAR® treatment the difference was obvious. The scoliosis and kyphosis which were frozen, lumpy and very sore to touch (even after physiotherapy are now more flexible and pain free. the kyphosis, an unsightly bump situated where my neck joined my back was unsightly and sore to the touch, has now disappeared and I can now feel the underlying vertebra!
I am free of the constant neck pain (which had been getting worse), my neck is much stronger and I have regained the full range of movement. I no longer require any pain medication.
I feel as if I have been given a new body. It is flexible, I am able to hold my shoulders back and can stand straight again, I have lost weight, and I no longer have problems with fluid retention. I can exercise properly now and am riding again.
I cannot believe how lucky and privileged I am to have been able to receive RITM SCENAR® treatment especially from some one as skilled and dedicated as Chris Mortensen

Amy 10 years old
RITM SCENAR® Therapy changed my daughter's life.
In January 2003, my daughter Amy was 10 years old and experiencing general health problems. She was fatigued, had mood swings and had shooting pains in her legs. She had previously enjoyed excellent health therefore we were concerned and began seeking treatment. Our Chiropractor recommended we get some x rays of her spine as he thought she was developing scoliosis.
In January of 2003 she had her first x-ray. This showed a 10-degree curvature in her spine. We were told to wait for 12 weeks and re x -ray. No treatments helped her pain/discomfort. Massage gave her some temporary relief. After 12 weeks her x rays showed her curvature was now 20 degrees. Such rapid decline is unusual and extremely serious. She was referred to an orthopaedic surgeon for evaluation. She was immediately put into a full body brace; she was required to wear the brace for 20 hours a day. Amy was told to stop all impact sports and had to cheer from the sideline in her netball. In the hours Amy was not in the brace she swam for one hour, chiropractic appointments 3 afternoons and we home treated with Tens machine 3 afternoons a week to supplement the bracing therapy and manipulations. Amy also had regular Clinical Pilate's sessions with a Physiotherapist. She was eating an organic wheat free diet because there is anecdotal evidence that scoliosis is sometimes related to poor nutrient absorption. In April 2003 Chris Mortensen commenced coming to our home to give Amy a RITM SCENAR® treatment before she went to sleep.
By July she was x- rayed again and her scoliosis was now 28 degrees. She was given a diagnostic MRI that showed no underlying pathology causing the curve (No Cancerous tumours pushing out her spine/ no Chiari Malformation). At this time Amy lost her reflexes in her knees and she was scheduled for an urgent clinic appointment with The West Mead Children's Hospital Neuro Muscular Department.
At about this time we had decided to cancel our long planned ski holiday — Amy's favourite sport of all. Our Specialist advised us ... " Perhaps you should still go as planned - let her ski if she feels she can do it in the brace — this may be the last year she will be able to...let her enjoy as much of her life as she can — her muscles are degenerating and there is nothing we can do to stop that — she may be wheel chair bound by next year. " There was talk of operations to implant a steel rod to support her spine...
At West Mead, neurologists examined Amy and preliminary tests were done. She could not be diagnosed with any known disorder without a muscle biopsy being taken of her spine. The biopsy would require a section of her spinal muscle to be removed in order to establish an accurate diagnosis. However even with an accurate diagnosis they could offer her no treatment.
At this time, Chris Mortensen asked if he could commence RITM SCENAR® treatment with Amy as he felt he could give her a more targeted treatment and hopefully not only relieve her pain but also perhaps restore function to her spinal muscles.
Over the next 8 weeks Chris treated Amy and by August we began to see some improvement in her posture. She was increasingly more energized, happier and her sleep improved.
Towards the end of August, Amy also experienced some alarming spasms in her kneecaps. It looked as though they would jump right off her knee. I didn't know what to think. At her next Hospital Clinic appointment the Neuro Conductor tests showed Amy now had NORMAL reflexes in her knees and connectivity in her spinal muscles.
We all became a little more hopeful. RITM SCENAR® treatments continued.
In early September 2003, just a few days before Amy turned 11, she had a problem with the brace. One of the buckles broke. I took it back to be fixed and within 2 days it broke again. I asked the technician what could be the reason the buckle kept breaking and he was not sure as he thought the only explanation would be that her spine was different from when the cast was done and that perhaps we should ascertain if she needed a new brace (at $4,000 and a big ordeal for Amy each time - I was not happy about that!) Plus I was worried it meant her spine had collapsed further and that Surgery would again be spoken of as the only course of treatment for her. A new x-ray was ordered. I also asked Amy if she had experienced any changes she could feel. It was at this time she told me she had also had the spasms in her Spine a few days before and that she was feeling OK even when the brace was off. I left it a few days before collecting the brace and Amy still seemed to feel OK without the brace (Previously she would ask to have it back on within 3 hours of having it removed - the brace kept her internal organs safe and also she felt very tired when she didn't have it on.)
We contacted Chris and he suggested we get her x-rayed again. We obtained a referral and she had her first x-rays that showed a completely straight spine. The orthopaedic surgeon was concerned that the result was because of a residual effect from the brace and asked us to repeat her x-ray 2 days later. By the time Amy's last x rays were done she had not been in the brace for nearly a week. The second set confirmed the result. Her spine was straight!!! No more brace!
Since then Amy has had some growing pains and each time she has had a RITM SCENAR® treatment. There have been no further Spinal problems and she is now an adult and enjoying a healthy lifestyle. She enjoys skiing, netball, swimming, dancing and school. She once again enjoys excellent health.
I am forever grateful to Chris Mortensen for treating Amy.
In December 2008, Amy was awarded her Canadian Level One Ski Instructors certification in British Columbia, Canada. Over 2009 and 2010, Amy coached a junior netball team and in early 2010, Amy was also awarded her Level One Ski Instructors certification for adaptive snow sports. This enables her to teach physically and cognitively challenged individuals to ski and snowboard!
As of November 2010, Amy has successfully completed her Higher School Certificate in Sydney, Australia.

It was 2003 when my daughter, Willa was diagnosed with a condition called Kidney Reflux after suffering a urinary tract infection. She was 2 1/2 years old.
Kidney Reflux happens when the muscle-valves in the ureters aren't developed and functioning: urine is ejected back up, putting pressure on the kidneys and providing an opening for bacteria to travel further up into the body. it was hard to believe as Willa was such a healthy child otherwise, but we had been warned that it Kidney reflux was a 'silent' condition which could lead to scarring of the kidneys, high blood pressure, poor growth, and eventually kidney failure.
This condition is classified on a scale of Grade I to Grade V (V being the severest) and Willa was graded as III on one side and IV on her other kidney. We were advised that although the valves of grades I and II often mature by school age, there was only a small possibility of grade III maturing and very little chance for grade IV, with no chance for grade V.
Our specialist at the Sydney Children's Hospital, was already talking about surgery although willing to wait a year before re testing to see if there was any change and insisted she be on long-term anti-biotics in that time (we in fact, took her off the anti-biotics after 6 months...but that's another story!)
One year later we were advised after numerous and some very invasive tests, that Willa was now graded IV on both sides and that her valves were in fact so short and under-developed that the chances of them maturing properly to a fully operational size was almost zero. This news was devastating. The specialist wanted to operate before she turned 4 years of age.
We were adamant that nature should be given a chance and didn't want to rush into an operation. Because Willa was not suffering from any urinary tract infections, we didn't feel that we were doing the wrong thing by her. We sought a second opinion and found a specialist who agreed to wait until she was 8 years old to see if the valves had matured by then.
By this time, (March 2004) Willa, now 3 1/2 years old, was very wary of doctors and hospitals. Fortunately a friend recommended RITM SCENAR® treatment with Chris Mortensen. We had never heard of RITM SCENAR® before, but there was nothing to lose, and so we came on a weekly basis for 30-minute treatments over the course of a few months. It was non-invasive and Willa did seem to rather enjoy this half hour and was always very relaxed during and after each session.
It was hard to gauge if anything was actually happening with the RITM SCENAR® treatment with Kidney Reflux being a silent problem and Willa otherwise seeming like a healthy child. I made the decision to purchase a RITM SCENAR® personal device and continued using it at home as instructed by Chris, a few times a week over the next few years.
In July 2008 we found ourselves once more at The Royal Children's Hospital in Sydney with our daughter, though this time for an entirely different problem. Willa's 15-year-old cousin in Austria had just had a major operation for Scoliosis (4 lower vertebrae were bolted together by a metal rod). Her spine had twisted to a 60-degree angle over the course of a few years and worryingly had not been picked up until she was around 11 years of age. Our relatives had recently been informed that it was a hereditary condition and so it would be wise to check all cousins for any signs. Our eldest daughter was cleared but unfortunately, Willa's spine displayed a 7-degree curvature.
The specialist said that technically, it wasn't scoliosis until it reached a 10-degree angle and that with Willa only being seven; we should 'wait and see'. If it continued to worsen, he would 'brace' her spine with a custom made corset, and if this failed and it worsened further like that of her cousin, then surgery was the only option. We were well informed by our relatives of the condition and were lucky to have had the advantage of an early diagnosis, but why wait for it to get worse before taking any action? There was no way we were going to sit back and wait, knowing as we did that once the spine started growing out of alignment, it would likely continue on this path, especially with a seven year old that had a lot of growing to do.
I had come across an article on the Internet about the success of RITM SCENAR® with a scoliosis patient (ironically, it was with Chris Mortensen) and immediately took Willa to see him again. Chris worked out a plan of specific treatments, Willa came once a week for 30-minute sessions and I followed this up with 3-4 treatments with our RITM SCENAR® personal device each week at home.
We also found a Paediatric Physiotherapist who developed a series of (home) exercises and together with the RITM SCENAR® treatment, we continued on our own path. The exercises were planned to stretch the tight muscles on one side of her back, and strengthen the weak muscles on the other side and I'm sure that the RITM SCENAR® was doing exactly the same thing in its own way. In fact, we could see that her spine was improving during this time and in March 2009 the physio announced her spine was indeed straight!
Now in April 2009, the time had come for Willa to go for an ultrasound as she was turning eight and we needed to have the Kidney Reflux situation reassessed. The ultrasound was the very first test she had in 2003; it clearly showed the effects of the reflux with distension and dilation of the ureters reported and it was the start of many further and more invasive tests.
This time, however, miraculously, everything appeared normal, the kidneys were normal and the ureters were normal, there was no dilation or distension to report, the kidneys were normal size for age. There was no sign of Kidney Reflux. Both valves from the ureters must have developed and matured in this time to a normal working order.
So the two potential operations looming over the horizon for the last 5 1/2 years for our little girl are no more, and as her parents, we are truly relieved!
I really do believe the RITM SCENAR® Therapy helped Willa's body to 'help itself' in both of these medical situations, in stimulating the growth and the maturing of the ureter valves and in the realignment of the spine. Words cannot express our thanks to you Chris, for introducing us to RITM SCENAR®.

Neuropathic Pain Following Cranioplasty
In July 2002, I was diagnosed with a tumour in the right parieto-occipital region of my brain. It measured 60 mm by 59 mm by 56 mm - the size of an orange! In addition, there was "compression of the right side of the tentrium causing significant tonsillar herniation and effacement of the basal cisterns in the posterior fossa". In other words, my brain was pushing down my spine.
Surgery was successful and the tumour was removed completely, but I was left with a major pain syndrome, affecting my lower left leg, left arm and the right side of my head at the site of the operation. The next six years was a fruitless search for permanent pain relief. Pain Clinics, neurologists, neurosurgeons, psychologists, acupuncturists, physiotherapists, herbalists, naturopaths - I tried them all!
In 2008, my ever supportive Family Doctor told me about RITM SCENAR® and suggested I talk to Chris Mortensen. I had to be driven to my first appointment with Chris and the journey had to be broken in two - I could not cope with a 45 minute car drive. My pain was severe. I could not concentrate. I was desperate for help. At my very first RITM SCENAR® treatment from Chris, I began to feel my head clearing for the first time in six years. I was able to focus and the pain became less severe. I saw Chris several times over the next few weeks and it was like a miracle. I found Susan again, the person I thought was lost forever.
I can now drive again. I can read again. I can think again. I can make decisions. I still have the occasional 'wobble' and need to see Chris periodically for him to balance my nervous system and return me to my true self. I recommend Chris to anyone. He is an honest, caring person who has helped me to regain my life.
Thank you Chris - from me and all my family.

Sydney, NSW, Australia.
I am a Registered Nurse with 27 years experience in acute care nursing. Currently I am working in the busiest Emergency Department in Perth, Western Australia. I was introduced to RITM SCENAR® in June 2008 where I completed Level 1 Training in Sydney. I embraced the holistic concepts, principles, and protocols of RITM SCENAR® therapy. They made perfect sense to me in the scheme of universal dynamics and being quite an eclectic nurse, I was excited about what RITM SCENAR® technology would bring to western medicine. With my newfound pain management and health restoration strategy I went about treating my family, friends and work colleagues. Despite having only completed Level 1 training at this stage I was still achieving unbelievable results with people I treated. My western medical indoctrinated brain was becoming quite vigilant about potential application of this device in an acute care environment. I did possess slight healthy scepticism about how effective RITM SCENAR® therapy would be in an acute situation...
Then it happened. In July 2008 I was walking back from a lovely luncheon at the hotel which Level 2 training was being held when I felt a nasty sharp, deep, stabbing pain in my abdomen (right upper quadrant). My first thought was I shouldn't have had that 2nd serving of curry ... I sat down in my seat and the stabbing pain rapidly escalated to 10/10. I told Chris Mortensen to call an ambulance. Feeling faint, diaphoretic and extremely unwell I thought I was going to die. Doubled over, Chris told me to get on the massage table. I couldn't move so Chris and Wade (another Level 2 student) helped me up. I was feeling quite panicky by this stage. I wouldn't let Chris or Wade treat the point of pain. I still wanted an ambulance. They cleverly worked a reciprocal area for about 5-10mins. The pain settled down to about 3/10. Feeling exhausted and shocked I asked Chris "what was that?" he replied, "I don't know". My medical training was going through all potential diagnosis - Cholecystitis? Cholelithiasis? Gall bladder artery spasm? Liver disease? Pancreatitis? All that mattered to me at the time was that the pain was manageable. I sat back in my seat wrapped in the blanket bandage and managed to get through the rest of the day. I doubted I would get through the night without a visit to the hospital. That night I slept with the bandage wrapped around my upper abdomen. Exhausted from having been in so much pain, I slept through the night pain free. I woke up pain free. I managed to complete Level 2 without any further episodes.
RITM SCENAR® technology and the expert handling of Chris and Wade saved probably well over $2000.00 in health care terms. An ambulance trip, intravenous analgesia and antiemetic, an ultrasound and possible surgical review and overnight stay in hospital? I have never had another episode. Whatever caused it has been resolved through one treatment of RITM SCENAR® in a very acute situation. I feel I needed to go through this whole experience to comprehend and respect the highly sophisticated technology of RITM SCENAR®. It was after this experience I decided I need to pursue clinical trials and open my own RITM SCENAR® Therapy Clinic in Perth. My clinic 'SCENAR - Relieving Pain Restoring Health' opened in Joondalup, Perth, WA in September 2008.

Post Viral Meningitis Headaches
Emma Jane, ten years old, is state champion three years running for womans artistic gymnastics. She was training twenty two hours per week until September 2005, when she came down with a virus. She had very sore neck, high temperatures, headaches, sore throat, nose bleeds and muscle aches. Two weeks after the virus, she was still suffering with aching muscles and the headaches. After many visits to doctors it was confirmed that the virus was viral meningitis.
Two months later, even though Emma was back at school, she no longer could do gymnastics as her muscles were still very sore. Any stretching of the spine gave her the headaches. When she did a handstand the headaches, rating the pain from one to ten ( ten being the worse ), was eight. Four months after the virus, she attempted to go back to the gym from time to time, for twenty minutes. This didn't last very long as she was in too much pain.
Five months after the virus and many visits to different doctors later, Emma's muscles were improving but she was still left with the headaches. She had quit her dance group and had stopped doing all sports at school. The pain was now a six out of ten. A Professor of special diseases advised me that Emma would not be back in action for a long time, and all we could do is just wait for her body to heal itself. This was very upsetting as there are many reports of people suffering from post viral meningitis headaches for years.
A friend had told me about the RITM SCENAR® treatment so I rang Chris and decided to give it a go. The day after the first treatment, Emma's headaches were worse. On doing a handstand they were a seven. The following day they were five. Over the next three weeks that was how the Scenar worked. The day after the treatment she would be one step worse and the following day, two steps better.
Four weeks after the first RITM SCENAR® treatment, Emma is completely better. There are no more headaches and she is now back at the gym, gradually building up her hours and eager to compete in September. Emma is now in the Australian Olympic team development squad.
My Experience with RITM SCENAR®
Brenda R
I was diagnosed with non-hodgkinsons lymphoma on the 28th of December 2005. The medical treatment protocol was chemotherapy in combination with biological therapy, a white blood cell stimulating injection and high dose steroids. This was all to be given to me every 2 weeks for a total of 6 cycles. The chemotherapy was administered over an hour and a half on day one of the cycle and the biological therapy was administered over approximately 4 hours after the chemotherapy. I took the steroid tablets daily for 5 days following the chemotherapy and had one cycle of blood, cell stimulation injection, also on the day following the chemotherapy.
Radiation therapy was to follow once the chemotherapy was completed.
While deciding what I was going to do and how best to tackle my treatment, I was told about Chris and RITM SCENAR® by a colleague.
Now is the time to tell you a bit about myself before I go further. Professionally I am both a naturopath and a registered nurse and have always believed that there is a place for both orthodox and complementary medicine. As a registered nurse I worked primarily in intensive care at Royal North Shore hospital. As a naturopath I ran my own business and also worked as a lecturer and naturopathic student clinic supervisor at Nature Care College.
I have always believed in and practiced preventative medicine both personally and professionally. I ate well and did not eat meat, gluten or dairy products, did not smoke or drink, exercised, meditated and led a very active life. I was however very stressed and did not always have a good balance between work, relaxation and play. And, I too became challenged with a diagnosis of cancer.
My father had had a kidney tumor removed in 2000 and in 2004 my first cousin (paternal) was diagnosed with hodgkinsons lymphoma and was treated with chemotherapy and radiation therapy. There was a definite genetic link on my father's side.
So there I was, the naturopath who believed in 'clean living' suddenly being told that I needed to put the most toxic of chemicals into my body in order to survive and needed to expose myself to x-rays, pet scans, ct scans and other forms of radiation (not to mention the radiation therapy that I was told I would need to survive). After so many years of being watchful of what I put into my body, ensuring that my liver and digestive systems were functioning as best as they could, I was going to have to submit them to the harshest of drugs. Thank goodness I had had such a good start so that I could give myself and my body the best possible fighting chance.
This is where RITM SCENAR® came into its own and became one of my biggest "allies". RITM SCENAR® continuously helped me be as strong - physically, psychologically and emotionally - as I could be throughout my treatment.
I had my first session with Chris a week before I was due to start chemotherapy. From the start I was informed that RITM SCENAR® could help in two ways. It could assist me with any specific symptoms that I may experience through the treatments and would also treat me as a 'whole'. It was not going to "treat the cancer that I had" but give my body as a whole unit all the assistance it could to continue to fight and heal.
Chris made no promises and guarantees and I knew from the outset that we would take each session as it presented.
I made my commitment to RITM SCENAR® and we began. I say commitment as I believe that making such a commitment increased the benefit of the treatments and encouraged me each time we (my mother being my driver) made the 2 hour return trip once, twice, three or even five times a week. I became an active part of my treatments and always felt that it was Chris and I conducting each session. The beauty of RITM SCENAR® is that patient participation is as vital to the session as the practitioner's knowledge and skill.
My journey through my chemotherapy and healing was physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual. RITM SCENAR® assisted me in all areas.
Each session, Chris and I would talk about the symptoms I was experiencing, how I was feeling within myself and what was bothering me the most. It helped me keep track of all that I was feeling and also how much I was improving and recovering with each session.
As I went through each cycle I was able to determine when I was going to experience particular symptoms. What I found with my continued treatments was that the intensity and duration of the symptoms improved through the cycles and not all the symptoms were present with each cycle.
It is difficult to give an exact number of days that each symptom lasted as it changed so quickly following treatments. Some of the symptoms would ease off and then return but would then ease off with further treatments.
All symptoms improved while I was actually having the treatment. This continually reinforced the power of RITM SCENAR® and what my body was able to recover from. To be able to experience an easing of symptoms each session was wonderful and so empowering.
I was also able to visually see and understand just how much and how well my body was working to regain its balance with the readings that Chris regularly took. In fact he often mentioned to me that I was showing numbers that 'healthy' people were commonly not showing when ideally they should have been. This always gave me such a boost.
Physically, symptoms I experienced included:
1/Digestive
* feeling that my tongue and throat was swollen
* abdominal distension
* hemorrhoids and anal pain
* abdominal burning
* appetite changes (mostly after my first cycle)
2/Musculoskeletal

Emotionally, when I went for my first appointment, I was about to start chemotherapy and was working through my feelings and fears around that and coming to terms with what was actually happening to me. In many ways I was not surprised that I had been diagnosed with cancer and felt that I was now being given my greatest challenge. At that appointment a lot of emotions came out and I was told by Chris to just go with it, not to focus on any particular emotion but to just let them come and go. I realized then the powerful effect that RITM SCENAR® had on our emotional and psychological health.
When I was first told of my diagnosis, I was completely positive and absolutely certain that I was going to be OK and would come through everything. It came as a shock to me when during my first cycle of chemotherapy I 'lost' myself in all the new experiences and not knowing what to expect.
So many books I had read talked about the need to be positive, the need to believe that you are going to be OK. What I found they didn't go into much or at all was the negativity you could feel, the thoughts that it would be easier to just roll up and give up, was it all worth it, was life worth living, what meaning was there in life, did I actually want to live. My Scenar treatments helped me move through the emotions and I often found that during a treatment emotions would come up or I would just start crying. I always felt better after a session and felt that my overall wellbeing improved each time. I realized that it takes courage to live, that you need to choose to live and once you do there is so much to support you and that it is up to us to make our own lives meaningful and worthwhile.
I believe that as my physical symptoms were helped so much with RITM SCENAR® I was able to more effectively deal with all my emotions.
While I did experience side effects from the treatment cycles I know that they were not as numerous, severe or prolonged as many other people experience.
RITM SCENAR® together with the other complimentary therapies that I chose to incorporate always were the primary tools in my arsenal that I used to survive my experience with cancer and chemotherapy was the ingredient that I needed to kick start it all (for which I will always be grateful). And, I don't need to have radiation treatment after all!
When RITM SCENAR® therapist Chris Mortensen arrived at the hospital, Sol the 12 year old who had suffered a mutilated hand, was extremely lethargic and drowsy. Chris treated him on the opposite hand to the wound, after the treatment Sol spirits had lifted and he became energised and much happier...a total 180 degree shift in less than an hour.
Sol said he could feel the RITM SCENAR® 'sending tingles' to his wounded hand which had been snapped in half in the accident and rebuilt with plates and screws.
Sol has remained bright, relaxed and content since the RITM SCENAR® treatment 7 days ago. He is now on a positive road to recovery.
Many thanx to you Chris and the sensational RITM SCENAR®

As a result of an accident 4 years ago I subsequently lost all strength in my legs and was unable to stand or walk without the aid of a walking frame. Simple daily tasks such as brushing my teeth became virtually impossible and I was unable to walk without the aid of a frame. In June 2007 I began RITM SCENAR® therapy at Scenar Health. After 6 RITM SCENAR® treatments I am now able to walk without the aid of a frame and am looking forward to regaining my life back!!!"
In April 2007, hurrying to catch a bus, I fell over on uneven ground. I consulted a doctor and had an x-ray, which confirmed I had fractured my right ankle. I was referred to a physiotherapist who, after showing my x-ray to an orthopaedic surgeon, fitted me with an ankle brace. I was told to wear the brace for 6 weeks and then have another x-ray. The initial pain and swelling I experienced and my inability to walk easily continued throughout the 6 weeks. I contacted the physiotherapist during this time, expressing my concern that nothing was improving and was assured it was "normal". After 6 weeks I had a second x-ray, which showed there was no change at all to the fracture! The doctor was now of the opinion I would need surgery and referred me to an orthopaedic surgeon.
I had no confidence in the medical treatment I had received up to that point and I did not want to proceed with surgery. In my desperation to find an alternative, I recalled a friend telling me about RITM SCENAR®, months earlier and so I investigated it. I was given Juully Lyons number and made an appointment immediately. During my first consultation, Juully was able to tell me that my body had not registered my ankle was broken, hence there was no healing response, it was focused elsewhere!
